How to package your product or service for maximum profit

There are three types of clients to every business.

The first are the tourists who can use up all your time answering their questions but they will never buy.

The second are the one-time buyers who will get your cheapest product and then never show up again. They might even complain or send the item back. They will never be happy.

The third type of client is the repeat business. The client who accepts your product, loves what you do and wants to spend more.

These are the dream clients that are worth courting. Research has found that attracting a new client costs approximately seven times what it costs to sell to an existing client, providing, of course, that they are type three!

Creating a package of products for your existing clients is a great way to encourage repeat custom. Fill these packages up with value and savings to your client (at a little cost to yourself!) and you have a happy client whilst  maximising your profit.

But what do you put in your package? The obvious answer is to fill it with the things that your clients tell you they need. Locate the clients' struggle or pain point and then provide the solution. You should be 'in touch' with your clients already, building long-term relationships, through an email campaign, blogs, facebook or similar platforms.

These should be getting comments and questions - pain points. A more direct method to find out what people are wanting requires an overtly confident approach and that is to ask your clients directly. It is all very well selling apples but what if your clients are wanting to buy pears? You will never know if you never ask.

Once you know your clients' pains you can create a package to resolve each issue. Remember, whatever you sell, be it a product or a service, you are selling the solution to another person's pain. Keep this in mind when creating your package.  Be very specific, how is your package going to improve your client’s life?  State tangible results, don’t be wishy washy.

Finally, make sure you provide extra value - include a written solution, videos, audio, worksheets. Pull all these items together and ensure that they all work towards providing the solution to the specific pain point. This may seem like a lot of work but it is worth it. Always aim to over deliver & you’ll have happy customers coming back for more!

How to take control of your work week.

I’m sure I am not the only one who dreads Mondays, sometimes they can feel very overwhelming - especially if you have had a relaxing weekend trying not to open your laptop up to hack into a few hours of work. In fact, when you go on Twitter and search for the phrase “I hate Mondays”, you’ll see this quote retweeted more than a hundred times:

“Dear Monday,

I want to break up.

I’m seeing Tuesday and

dreaming about Friday.

Sincerely, it’s NOT me, it’s YOU.”

Funny, but absolutely true even for the most successful entrepreneurs. And here I wonder, why do most people hate Mondays? Some of the reasons I can think of are the following:

  • Got really tired during the weekend
  • Absolutely upset about not having to extend vacation / parties
  • Have piles of work to do
  • Unhappy with work
  • Lack of sleep

Now if these reasons are familiar, you’re probably on the #IHateMonday Team. But what if I tell you that there’s a way to permanently say goodbye to Monday blues? Here are some insightful ways to finally start loving Monday:

Why?

First things first, why do you hate Mondays? Be honest. Be open. Let’s talk.

When you feel like you’re always dragging yourself to accomplish tasks and be productive on a Monday, then something’s wrong. It’s easy to brush this negative feeling as a common “tiring” thing, but Alexander Kjerulf, an international author and speaker on happiness at work says that these feeling “can be much more than just a passing tiredness; they are often a serious warning sign that something is not right at work.”

This was echoed by Rita Friedman, a Philadelphia-based career coach who said that Mondays should be about being able to live a day doing what you love.

So again let me ask you, why do you hate Mondays?

Knowing the reason why you dislike Mondays will help us determine how you can finally embrace the start of the week without remorse.

So take out a pen and a paper, and start writing the things that you’re so unhappy about Mondays. Write as many as you can.

Done?

Now crumple that paper and throw it in the bin. Today’s another day! Remember, we’re leaving the old habits behind, and we’re learning to enjoy each day of the work week. It’s not going to be easy (especially when you’re welcomed with over a hundred emails when you get back to your desk), but we’re going to ACE THIS.

Let’s begin!

Step 1: Clean your desk.

If you’re working in an office, a co-working space, or a coffee shop make sure you start with a clean desk. As they say, “clean desk, clean mind.” So remove the unnecessary pile of papers and decors and start with a fresh looking desk.

Step 2: Start with a happy task.

Do you love coffee or watching some funny videos? Dedicate 15 minutes of your day to do these that makes you feel calm and happy. This removes the idea of stress in your mind and puts you in a good mood the rest of the day.

Step 3: It’s time to create a list.

Sometimes our minds have a way of tricking us into thinking that all Mondays are the same – busy, full of tasks, and dreadful. But this isn’t always the case. The best way to stay on top of your work is to create a list.

To do this, you can open a notepad or sign up for my favorite project management account called Trello. Signing up is free of charge, and you get to create unlimited boards that looks like this:

By creating this board, you can segregate your tasks according to their importance and deadlines, and only focus on tasks that require your immediate attention. You’ll be able to manage your time and you’ll leave the office feeling happy and productive knowing that all important tasks where taken cared of, and you’ve managed your time well.

Pro Tip: Create several boards for your goals, personal tasks, party plannings, and others to better manage your week.

Step 4: Reward yourself.

What if there’s just waaaaaay too many tasks and even if you categorise them according to their priority levels, it still feels like a bloody awful Monday? It’s time to use the “Work Reward System”.

Sure, your boss doesn’t give you rewards even if you reach milestones. But this does not mean that you can reward yourself. So label each task with rewards when you finish them. For example, when you finish sending emails feeling tired and bored, you get to buy yourself a piece of cake. And what if you create an outstanding presentation? That deserves a new pair of shoes!

At the end of the day, you’ll look forward to improving the quality of your work because you get these small rewards from yourself.

Remember: Excellent work = Promotion!

Pro Tip: Do this for all the days to have a delightful week!

Step 4: Prepare for next week’s task ahead.

More often than not, Mondays feel like hell because of the amount of work that you’ve have to do that day. Emails from over the weekend have piled up, changes in reports are needed, among others.

Preparing for some critical tasks for the following week will solve this. When you have some spare time in the current to work on reports, emails, campaigns, etc that are due on Monday next week, do them in advance. You may not even finish them all, but you’ll still have less tasks to worry about the following week.

Step 5: What do you love to do?

I’d like to end this piece by asking you another question…

Do you love what you’re doing?

Because no matter what steps you take, if you’re not doing what you love, you’ll always feel miserable. So think about this question. Use the weekend to be by yourself and really evaluate what you love.

When you know the answer, you’ll know what to do next.

Stay inspire! Good luck & happy Mondays!

What elements you need to convert online

2.jpg

Most people nowadays turn to the internet for almost anything. Services, products, information, you name it; people will most likely check the internet for it first. This is why most companies want their presence online and create a business website.

But what makes a great business website?

With thousands of other websites offering their services online, what makes people zero in on a specific site when looking for information or service?

Great user experience, that’s what captures possible customer’s attention. People want to be able to easily find information that they need.

Here are the top six elements that every business needs for their website:

1. About Page

Make sure that you have an “about us” page on your business website. Before people buy services, it is natural that they would want to know who they will be working with.

A little background about your company and team plus what sets you apart from the rest can help a possible customer decide if they would want to work with you.

2. Clear contact info

I cannot stress the importance of this element enough. It is crucial that customers are able to reach you when they need to. A great user experience includes availability of support when and where needed by the customer.

Make sure that your email address, office address, and phone numbers are visible on the website and that it is in a clickable form or customers can easily copy the information from the website so people can conveniently email or call you when they need to.

Clear direction to your office is also a plus especially if you are targeting local customers. People should be able to easily find your office; otherwise you might lose possible customers.

3. Secure Payment Options

One of the most important elements of a great business website especially if you accept payments online is security. People can become repeat customers if they feel safe in making transactions in your business website.

Not only is this an important element, it is a non-negotiable. You do not want your website to be an avenue where hackers can steal information from people. This is why you must have very visible icons and texts expressing how secure your payment system is.

You must also have clear instructions for your readers on how they can protect their information, such as to double check their surroundings before typing in their credit card information.

4. Clear Call To Action

While great images capture the attention of your website readers, a call to action is what guides them to take an action.

If you aren’t familiar with what calls to action are, they are words / phrases that serve as an instruction to your audience so they will take an immediate response.

Some of the most popular calls to action are, “call now”, “order today”, or as what you can see our website… “get a free quote today”. You can be very creative in creating your call to action text; the most important thing is that compels your readers to act.

The best place is to have a clear to action is on your homepage, preferably in the topmost region of your site (aka “above the fold”). However, we highly suggest that you also add them on every page of your website to make sure all your readers are guided in whatever page they may view on your site.

5. Search bar and easy navigation on product pages

Make your customer’s visit to your website as smooth as possible. Easy navigation and search bars can help your customers find the right product information when they need it.

You do not want your customers to end up feeling exasperated from looking for a certain product and turn to a competitor. Great user experience is all about convenience for the customers.

6. Testimonials

Testimonials can also help bring in customers. People love hearing what others has to say about a certain company. They want to know if others have had a great experience as this can be an indication of the kind of service that they will also get.

Do not be scared to ask previous customers if they can leave a testimonial for your company on the website. Not everybody reads testimonials, but it’s great if these are available on your website should customers want to check it out.

So, does your business website have all these elements? Just go over your site from page to page, search for products and try clicking on the links to make sure they are working.

If you feel to need to give your business website a new look with high-converting factors, I can help you! I’ve worked with hundreds of happy clients who had really buggy or no websites at all! The results my team gave to them were simply amazing, and we want you to experience the same.

Four reasons your business DOESN'T need to be online.

"Do you have a website?'

This is one of the first things I ask when I meet business owners who are trying to convince me to buy their product. Even when I go to convenience stores and I see someone giving away samples, my first question is if they have a site where I can read all their product details.

Online presence has now become a necessity for small business owners. The creation of social media accounts also works like a standard operating procedure in attracting new customers.

However, businesses should not just stop with a Facebook page or an Instagram account. To fully maximize the benefits of the digital world, a highly converting website should seal the deal.

If you’re a small business trying to penetrate the big market, this is for you. Here are five reasons a website is essential to survive in the industry.

 1. Think Globally

Sure, you’re a small shop selling souvenir items in a small village… but why stop there?

There is a gallery owner somewhere a continent away who need your unique handcrafted creations, or a wedding coordinator looking for whimsical, quirky earrings that the bride wants to give to her bridesmaids as gifts.

Here’s a fact: 61% of global Internet users research products online. Internet users search online to find what they need. If you don’t have a website, then boy, you’re missing out on the potential bulk of orders.

2.  Testimonials get you more customers

Yes, I may say some nice words to your employees while I’m at your local store. But who else will hear me say these words? How can my positive feedback help your business in getting more customers?

Make it easy for your loyal customers to thank you by putting up a website where they can just quickly type words of gratitude without having to leave the comfort of their homes or offices.

All the testimonials that you get can attract more potential customers, especially those who are having second thoughts in trusting you with their money.

Did you know? 72% of consumers trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations from real people. In fact, personally, I often look for feedback from previous customers as it is the deciding factor for me to choose one company over the other.

The words that your happy customers leave on your website serve as the bread crumbs to lead other customers to you.

3. First Impression Matters

Your prospect leads will want to check your services or products out through your website to see if your product fits their wants / needs. Most customers also see to it that you don’t just offer quality products, you’re also great with customer service.

This is why “pre-sales” questions exists. A business website can be your vessel in providing the best first impression to your customers.

If you don’t think this is necessary for your business, let me tell you this: 69% of consumers are more likely to use a local business if it has an online presence.

Changed your mind? I thought so.

4. Provides amazing after-sales services

Good lasting impression matters just as much. Yes, the questions do not stop when the products have been purchased. There is a need to maintain the great impression that you got by providing amazing after-sales service.

With a website, customers can easily find frequently asked questions 24/7. Even without someone looking over it, your customers will feel at ease that they will be able to find what they need online.

Contact forms can also change the game for you.

Ever spent 20 minutes of your life trying to find the number of a local business and eventually gave up because it’s nowhere to be found online?

You’re not alone. 50% of online sales are lost because visitors can’t find the content. So, by making sure that you can be easily contacted, customers are most likely to trust and buy from you.

A website can serve its many purposes – customer service, product boost, company background, etc – for all your leads and customers at a minimum cost. Others may see a website as an additional expense, but really, it saves you a good amount of money in the long run.

So, whether you’re a new baker whipping sweet magic in your home kitchen, or sizeable business operating locally, you need a website. Let me help you create a website that’s not only beautiful aesthetic wise, but is also ready for leads and conversion.
